WIU's Lesinski, IPFW's Recht Named Tennis Athletes of the Week

MEN

Neil Lesinski, Western Illinois

Lesinski collects the Male Athlete of the Week award after winning both his singles and doubles matches last week in a 6-1 Western victory over Chicago State. In singles, he defeated Jonathon Sutjiadi at the No. 3 position, 6-1, 6-2. He then teamed with Zach Frisch at No. 1 doubles to capture an 8-5 win over Prabowo Imanuel and Prakoso Imanuel. Lesinski moved his singles record to 10-10 on the year and is 6-3 in doubles matches when pairing with Frisch this season.

Amy Recht, IPFW

Recht earns her second Athlete of the Week award this year after going 4-0 at No. 1 singles and 3-1 at No. 2 doubles at the Summit League Cluster last week. She did not lose a set in singles play, defeating opponents from IUPUI, UMKC, Southern Utah and Oakland. Recht and teammate Sachi Janek defeated UMKC, SUU and OU at No. 2 doubles after falling to the team from IUPUI. She has not dropped a set in singles play since Feb. 16 and is 23-4 overall on the year.
