Southern Utah's Tyler Quinney Named Summit League Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Southern Utah's Tyler Quinney earned The Summit League Player of the Week award after a 24-point, eight-rebound performance in the Thunderbirds league victory Saturday at UMKC. The accolade is the first of Quinney's career.

Quinney shot 64 percent from the field (9-of-14) and was 6-for-6 from the line with just one turnover in 40 minutes of playing time while posting a game-high 24 points. The senior scored 10 of his points during a second-half run that took SUU from a tied game to a 16-point lead that eventually gave the T-Birds their first road win of the season.
