Oakland's Erik Kangas Named Summit League Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Oakland's Erik Kangas earned The Summit League Player of the Week award after a career-high 39-point outburst that included 8-for-13 shooting from behind the arc in a road victory Saturday at IPFW.

The senior's point total was the highest in a Summit League game this season. Kangas also added four assists in the Golden Grizzlies' five-point victory over the Mastodons. His eight treys in the game tied a career-best and accounted for the second-highest total in Oakland history, just one off the school mark. Kangas moved into eighth all-time on the Summit League's three-pointer list.
