IUPUI's Dechow, IPFW's Recht Named Tennis Athletes of the Week

Dechow
captures the Male Athlete of the Week award after recording a 1-1
record in both singles and doubles last week. He defeated
SIU-Edwardsville's Cole Garrison, 6-2, 6-3, at the No. 3 slot after
teaming with Jorge Yunes in doubles earlier in the day. Dechow and
Yunes downed the Cougars' Devan and Jordan Faulkenberg in the No. 3
doubles position, 8-4. IUPUI dropped both matches to
SIU-Edwardsville (4-3) and Marquette (7-0) on the week.

Recht
receives Female Athlete of the Week honors after winning both her
singles and doubles matches in a 4-3 loss to Detroit last week. To
kick off the match, Recht teamed with Sachi Janek to capture an 8-1
win over Detroit's Annie Moore and Zeljka Minic at No. 1 doubles.
She then downed Moore in three sets, 6-1, 5-7, 6-3, at the No. 1
singles position.
