Oakland Sweeps Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week Awards

claims the Male Athlete of the Week award after helping Oakland to
a first-place team finish at the Florida International Invitational
on Saturday. The senior
swam in four relay events guiding the Golden Grizzlies to
first-place finishes in each. Bonucchi was the lead-off leg in the
200 breast relay (1:49.57) and the 200 free relay (1:26.52) and
swam anchor in the 400 medley relay (3:29.93) and 400 free relay
(3:15.24). The men's team
finished all eight events in first place, with Bonucchi swimming in
four of those.

earns Female Athlete of the Week honors for the fourth time this
season after swimming on four of Oakland's seven first-place relay
teams. The junior from
Pulway, Poland, guided the Golden Grizzlies to a first-place team
finish with a total of 148 points on Saturday at the Florida
International Invitational.
Solan placed first in each of the relays in which she swam. She swam lead-off in the 400
medley relay (4:01.88), 400 free relay (3:44.45) and 200 back relay
(1:52.91) and swam the anchor in the 200 free relay
(1:42.34).
