UMKC's Perez, IPFW's Dowling Earn Player of the Week Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. - UMKC midfielder Bryan Perez and IPFW
goalkeeper Donovan Dowling were named as The Summit League Men's
Soccer Players of the Week for their performances during the week
of Oct. 12-18.

Perez collected his second Offensive Player of the Week
award of the season and third of his career after totaling five
points, including a pair of goals, in two matches. At Air Force,
Perez scored a goal and had an assist for a three-point
performance. In league play at Oral Roberts, Perez put the
Kangaroos ahead with the first goal of the match in an eventual 1-1
draw. The Summit League leader in goals this season and UMKC's
career goal-scoring leader, Perez has a marker in three of his last
four matches.

Dowling earned his first career Defensive Player of the
Week honor after recording a 1-0-1 record with one shutout during
the week. In a 0-0 tie at SIU Edwardsville, Dowling made three
saves in notching his fourth shutout of the season. Earlier in the
week against Cleveland State, Dowling made a pair of saves to
preserve a 2-1 victory for IPFW. The week's results improved the
Mastodons to 4-9-2 on the year.
