Centenary's Valdez, IUPUI's Farrell Capture Weekly Honors

Valdez earns Offensive Player of the Week honors
after helping Centenary to a 2-1 league record last week. The
sophomre from Houston tallied two goals, including the game-winner,
in a 2-1 victory over Southern Utah Thursday, before scoring a goal
in a 2-1 win over UMKC Saturday. For the week, Valdez scored three
goals for six points and concluded her season with 10 goals and
nine assists for 29 points.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jamie Farrell, Sr., GK, IUPUI

Farrell captures her third Defensive Player of the
Week award this season after helping IUPUI to a school-record 14th
win of the season and a share of the regular season title. The
senior recorded her 20th collegiate shutout in a 1-0 win over IPFW
and surrendered only one goal in a 3-1 victory over Oakland. For
the week, Farrell had 13 saves, a 0.50 goals against average and a
.929 save percentage.
