Centenary's Grey, Oakland's Oates Selected as Athletes of the Week

Grey earns his first Athlete of the Week accolade after
recording a first-place finish in three events, including his
performance in the 1,000 free (9:43.92) that set both a school and
pool record. The freshman from Allen, Texas, also finished first in
the 200 fly (1:56.03) and the 500 free (4:49.23). Grey led his
Centenary squad to a first-place finish among eight teams at the
Hendrix Classic.

Oates claims her first Athlete of the Week award after capturing
first-place finishes in both the 1 and 3-meter boards, recording
NCAA zonal qualifying marks in each. The junior recorded 297.30
points in her 3-meter dive, breaking her previous career best by
almost 24 points. Oates posted a 1-meter diving score of 279.45.
