Oakland's Watterworth Named Player of the Week

Watterworth earns Player of the Week honors after
registering a double-double in a near-upset of Big Ten foe Purdue
last week. The freshman tallied 15 points, along with career-highs
of 12 rebounds and six steals. She also added three assists and a
block for the Golden Grizzlies. It was Watterworth's second career
double-double and she has scored in double figures in seven of
eight games this season. For the year, Watterworth averages a
team-best 14.6 ppg, fourth-best in the league, and 7.1 rpg. The
forward/center is shooting 46 percent from the field and 74 percent
from the line.
