WIU's Ragee-Nelson, IPFW's Kobayashi Earn Weekly Tennis Honors

Ragee-Nelson
earned the Men's Player of the Week award after notching a singles
victory last weekend vs. Northern Illinois. Against NIU,
Ragee-Nelson topped Shaun Stewart 6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-1 at No. 4 for
his second singles win of the season. In doubles play, Ragee-Nelson
teamed with Neil Lesinski at No. 1 and narrowly dropped a 8-6
decision to NIU's Grubisic/Poziomski. The Leathernecks fell to NIU,
4-3, in the dual match.

claimed the Women's Player of the Week accolade after going 4-0
last weekend. In singles play, Kobayashi won two matches at No. 3,
besting Dayton's Chelsea Glankler 6-4, 6-2 and Wright State's
Kenisha Webb 6-2, 7-6 (6). Kobayashi also went 2-0 in doubles,
teaming with Ingrid Ballus at No. 2. The IPFW duo defeated
Dickerhoof/Glankler of UD, 8-2, and Presti/Garrett of WSU, 8-4. The
Mastodons defeated both teams 7-0 in their dual matches.
