IPFW Sweeps Tennis Player of the Week Awards

Vogt
earned the Men's Player of the Week award after going 3-1 in
singles and 2-1 in doubles last week. In singles play, Vogt
defeated SIU-Edwardsville's Devan Faulkenberg, 6-2, 6-1 and Aaron
Haas of Robert Morris, 6-2, 6-2. In doubles action, Vogt teamed
with Rodrigo Tamashiro for wins over RMU's duo of Becker/Pinto,
8-3, and SIUE's team of Faulkenberg/Faulkenberg, 8-4. The wins
evened Vogt's spring singles record at 4-4.

claimed the Women's Player of the Week accolade after going a
perfect 4-0 in singles and 4-0 in doubles as IPFW won all four of
its dual matches. Forsyth defeated Gwen Dalphow of Robert Morris,
6-0, 6-0 and won by default vs. SIU-Edwardsville. She also bested
Bradley's Erin Krubeck, 6-3, 6-4, and Eastern Illinois' Shannon
Brooks, 7-6 (2), 6-1. In doubles play, Forsyth teamed with Katie
Brien wins over BU's Braun/Krubeck (8-1), SIUE's Clark/Neibur
(8-0), RMU's Rudneva/Olausson (8-0) and EIU's Egan/Brooks (8-7
(3)). Forsyth improved to 6-1 in singles play with her four
victories last week.
