IPFW's Maselli and Brien Claim Summit League Tennis Player of the Week Awards

claimed the Men's Player of the Week accolade after going 3-0 in
singles and 2-1 in doubles play. Maselli won 6-1, 6-4 over Detroit
Mercy's Patrick Troy, 6-1, 6-3 over Jeff Seevers of St. Francis,
and 7-5, 6-0 over Youngstown State's Patrick Hamning. He also
teamed with Felipe Gama for victories over SFU's Kowalski/Fleming,
8-2, and YSU's Kathary/Hamning, 8-2.

earned the Women's Player of the Week award after posting a pair of
straight-set singles victories and two doubles wins. Brien, who
entered the week ranked No. 118 by the ITA, topped Evansville's
Allison Cox 6-2, 6-0 and claimed a 6-0, 6-1 win over Julianna
Gustafson of St. Francis to run her singles win streak to nine
matches for a 9-0 season mark. Brien teamed with Alexandra Forsyth
for a pair of doubles victories, 8-2 over Evansville's
Millis/Sharma and 8-0 over SFU's Ranchod/Mapes.
