MEN

Eric Campbell, Western Illinois

Campbell claims his second consecutive Male Athlete of the Week award after recording four first-place finishes over the weekend against Valparaiso and UIC. The senior from Glenview, Ill., placed first in the 1-meter dive with a mark of 304.65 vs. Valpo and came back in the 3-meter dive for another first-place finish with a score of 317.93. Campbell continued his weekend of excellence against UIC as he recorded a mark of 299.78 for a first-place finish in the 1-meter dive and won the 3-meter dive with a score of 296.93.

WOMEN

Alyssa Vela, Oakland

Vela earns Female Athlete of the Week accolades for the second time this season after helping Oakland to a 151-149 win over Michigan State. The freshman posted a pair of wins and helped the Golden Grizzlies to two more first-place finishes in the 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay. Vela posted a league-best time of 23.92 in the 50 free for a first-place finish, then recorded a time of 51.71 for another first-place finish in the 100 free. The Clarkston, Mich., native swam anchor in the 200 medley relay, helping the Grizzlies to a first-place finish with a time of 1:46.02. Vela swam the lead-off leg in the 400 free, setting the winning pace with a time of 3:31.42.
