Oakland's Johnathon Jones Named Summit League Player of the Week

Ill. Oakland University's Johnathon Jones earned Summit
League Player of the Week after averaging 15.0 points and 12.5
assists per game and recording his first two double-doubles of the
season while leading the Golden Grizzlies to a pair of league
victories.
Jones
scored 17 points and tied a career-high with 13 assists to help
Oakland snap Oral Roberts' eight-game winning streak in a 12-point
triumph. In the contest, Jones connected on all three of his
three-point attempts and had three rebounds. Two nights later,
Jones scored 13 points and added 12 assists with four rebounds in a
13-point victory over Centenary. He set a career high by making 11
of his 12 free throw attempts.
Jones
shot 62 percent (8-of-13) for the week and hit 60 percent (3-of-5)
from beyond the arc. His 25 assists moved him into
10th-place on The Summit League's career list with
488.
The
honor was the second of the season for Jones, who also claimed the
league's weekly accolade on Nov. 24.
