IUPUI's Sosa and IPFW's Janek Earn Weekly Tennis Awards

Sosa
claimed the Men's Player of the Week award after winning his
singles match and teaming for a doubles victory over Morehead
State. He accounted for the Jaguars lone point and both team wins
in the dual match. Sosa topped MSU's Dusan Milovanovic, 6-3, 7-6
(6), at No. 2 singles. He paired with Jesus Diaz to defeat the MSU
duo of Shafik/Hodge, 8-3, at No.3 doubles. Sosa's singles victory
was his second of the season.

Janek earned
the Women's Player of the Week award after combining for a 4-0
record during the week. In singles play, Janek topped Cleveland
State's Melissa Holzinger, 6-1, 7-5. In doubles action, Janek
teamed with Amy Recht to win three matches, besting Shaw/Olausson
of Robert Morris, 8-2, Gombera/Carlson of Akron, 8-4, and
Holzinger/Tabb of Cleveland State, 9-7. Janek is now 7-5 on the
year in singles play and owns a 9-4 when teaming with Recht in
doubles.
