NDSU's Woodside Earns Season's Final Player of the Week Honor

Ill. North Dakota State's Ben Woodside earned the season's
final Summit League Player of the Week award after averaging 30.5
points, 5.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in a pair of victories that
secured the outright league title. He had 2.5 steals per game,
recorded a 1.6 assist-to-turnover ratio and connected on 51.4
percent of his field goals attempts and 50 percent of his
three-point attempts during the week.
Woodside
scored 32 points on 10-of-17 shooting, including 3-of-5 treys, with
nine free throws, four assists, three steals and two rebounds in a
victory over Centenary that clinched at least a share of the league
title for the Bison.
Two
nights later, Woodside scored a game-high 29 points and had seven
assists, five rebounds, two steals and one block in a win at Oral
Roberts that snapped ORU's 35-game home league winning streak and
secured the No. 1 seed in The Summit League Championship. Woodside
hit 10-of-11 free throw attempts, including a clutch 7-of-8
performance over the game's final 34.9 seconds, and connected on
9-of-20 shots from the field.
Woodside
set a new NDSU single season scoring mark at ORU, finishing the
regular season with 668 points, and his 199 free throws made are
the fifth-highest season total in Summit League history.
This
week's accolade marks the second of the season for Woodside, who
claimed the honor on Dec. 15 following a 60-point performance, and
the fourth for a Bison player.
