Centenary's Shepperd, IPFW's Cronin Earn Softball Weekly Accolades

Shepperd
earns the weekly honor for the first time this season as she hit
.381 (8-for-21) helping the Ladies to a 5-2 record, posting wins
over Grambling (10-2), Kennesaw State (8-5), Winthrop (9-2), Akron
(2-1) and Toledo (5-3). The junior third baseman belted two
homers, a double, drove in seven RBIs, scored three runs and swiped
two bases en route to being named to the Buzz Classic
All-Tournament team.

Cronin collects
pitcher of the week honors after posting a 1-0 record and picking
up one save for the Mastodons. The freshman right-hander pitched
14.2 innings, struck out 13 batters, walked two and did not allow a
run. The Delta, British Columbia, native led IPFW to a 2-2 record
in its season opening weekend, as the Mastodons were victorious
over Fairfield (2-1) and Eastern Kentucky (2-0).
