earns The Summit League's Player of the Week award after belting
three home runs and driving in 10 runs over the weekend. The junior
from Downers Grove, Ill., helped Western Illinois sweep league foe
Southern Utah as she hit .400 (6-for-15) with five runs
scored. Furgala currently
has a five-game hitting streak.

earned The Summit League's Pitcher of the Week honor after going
1-1 with a 0.62 ERA last week. The senior right-hander struck out 15
batters in 11.1 innings of work. Hurst allowed just one earned run
on eight hits and surrendered four walks. She also helped UMKC to three
non-league victories over the weekend.
