Fernandez
earns The Summit League's Player of the Week award for the third
time this season after helping Southern Utah to a three-game sweep
over IUPUI. The Las Vegas, Nev., native batted .666 (6-for-9),
belted two home runs, had six RBI and scored three runs. Her second homer was a walk-off
blast in the final game of the series. Fernandez leads the league
in slugging percentage (.742), RBI (48), doubles (13), home runs
(13) and total bases (98).

Doyle
and Ferguson were named Co-Pitchers of the Week after their
outstanding performances last week. Doyle tossed a no-hitter in her first
collegiate victory on Sunday, hurling just the sixth no-hitter in
school history. She walked just one batter to eliminate the perfect
game. Doyle also earned her first collegiate save in the 2-1
victory over Centenary. Ferguson went 3-0 last week, as she fanned
11 batters in 21 innings pitched. and did not allow an earned run.
She tossed a shutout against Northern Illinois on Tuesday and
shutout North Dakota State on Saturday. The senior has only given
up one earned run in the last 24.2 innings of work.
