Chmielewski
earns The Summit League's Player of the Week award for the second
time this season after she went 11-for-22 (.500), with a double, a
homer, six runs scored and nine RBI to help lead the Bison to a
weekend sweep of Summit League foe IUPUI. The junior first baseman
smashed a grand slam in the first game against IUPUI. She leads
NDSU with 14 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games. On the NDSU
career charts, Chmielewski is tied for fourth in home runs (25),
fifth in putouts (823), seventh in RBI (134) and eighth in batting
average (.363).

Granger
earned The Summit League's Pitcher of the Week after breaking
Oakland's all-time strikeout record with a total of 430. The senior from Troy, Mich.,
posted a 3-0 record over the weekend with a 0.70 ERA and two
shutouts in 20 innings pitched. She allowed just three runs, two
earned, on 14 hits and fanned 16. Granger also tied the all-time school
record with 39 career victories.
