Golitko
earns The Summit League's Player of the Week award after she went
9-for-20 (.450) at the plate last week. The sophomore from
LaGrange, Ill., hit her first career home run in WIU's 6-2 victory
over IPFW and belted her first career grand slam the following day
in a 9-1 victory over the Mastodons. She extended her hitting
streak to nine games as she laced a pair of doubles, scored eight
runs and drove in eight RBI. Golitko also swiped her third base of
the season and was flawless in the field with a 1.000 fielding
percentage.

Ferguson
earned The Summit League's Pitcher of the Week honor for the third
straight week after going 4-0 with a 0.27 ERA. The right-hander
scattered six hits, allowed one earned run, issued five walks and
fanned 35 batters in 26 innings of work. Three of Ferguson's four
wins were shutout victories in which she allowed just one
hit.
