ORU Athletes Sweep Women's Soccer Weekly Awards
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
NATALYA MANYAN, SR., F, ORAL ROBERTS

Manyan collected the first Offensive Player of the
Week honor of the season after scoring the lone goal for the Golden
Eagles last week. The senior took a pass from Anna Bickers in the
47th minute, scoring the game-winning goal just after halftime. ORU
defeated SMU by a 1-0 score at the ORU Soccer Complex.
Also nominated: Lorraine Thompson, North Dakota State; Laura
Goodrich, Southern Utah.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
AMANDA WHEELER, JR., GK, ORAL ROBERTS
Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo
Wheeler claimed the Defensive Player of the Week
award following the opening weekend of women's soccer action for
the 2009 season. The Mission Viejo, Calif., native shutout SMU,
1-0, Friday night. She collected two saves en route to the victory
and earned her second career weekly honor.
