NDSU's Tveidt, SDSU's Wolters Named Co-Players of the Week

Wolters were named Summit League Co-Players of the Week
for their performances during the season-opening weekend Nov.
12-14. The duo shared the league's initial award of the year.

Tveidt averaged 18.7 points on 53.8 percent
shooting and hit 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) from beyond the arc while
leading NDSU to a 2-1 start in games at the Basketball Travelers
Classic in Eugene, Ore. In the season-opener against Oregon, Tveidt
scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a
five-point overtime loss. The following night, Tveidt scored a
team-high 18 points, including a career-high five treys, to lead
NDSU to a victory over reigning Big West champion UC Santa Barbara.
The award was Tveidt's first career honor.
Nate Wolters, South Dakota State

Wolters averaged 18.0 points and six assists
while connecting on all five three-point attempts and shooting 90
percent from the free throw line in a pair of road victories. In
the win over Iowa, Wolters set career-highs with 25 points and nine
assists and knocked down three treys while leading SDSU to its
first victory over a Big Ten opponent since the 1929-30
campaign. Wolters amassed a 2.0 assist/turnover ratio
for the week and pulled down five rebounds in the season-opener at
Eastern Illinois. The honor was the first of Wolters' career and
marked the initial Summit League weekly award claimed by an SDSU
player since the school joined the league in 2007-08.
