UMKC's Couisnard Named Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. - UMKC's Jay Couisnard was named
Summit League Player of the Week for his performance during the
week of Nov. 15-21.

Couisnard averaged 18.5 points and shot 59.1 percent during the
week and led UMKC to a pair of victories and a 3-0 start. At
Central Arkansas, Couisnard poured in 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting
and added three rebounds and three steals while hitting 2-of-4
three-point attempts and 7-of-8 from the free throw line. In
UMKC's win over Southeast Missouri State, Couisnard scored 14
points on 6-of-11 shooting, pulled down five rebounds and recorded
a career-high four blocked shots. Couisnard 's performance moved
him into a tie for the league's scoring lead. The award marked the
first career honor for Couisnard and the first received by a UMKC
player since Dec. 2008.
