IUPUI's Young Named Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. - IUPUI's Alex Young was named Summit League
Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance during the
week of Dec. 7-13.

Young earns his first career award after averaging 20.5 points,
4.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and one blocked shot per game
in contests at No. 2 Ohio State and defending MAC champion Ohio.
Against the second-ranked Buckeyes, Young scored 20 points,
including a season-high four three-pointers, while matching his
career-high with six assists and adding three rebounds and one
blocked shot in a game that IUPUI led by as many as nine in the
second half. In his next outing, Young scored 21 points, including
a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line, and totaled five
rounds, three assists and a season-high three steals.
