Western Illinois Sweeps Weekly Swimming and Diving Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. - Western Illinois' Brandon Wilkinson and Brianna Eizenga were named Summit League Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of Dec. 13-20.

MEN
Brandon Wilkinson, Western Illinois
Jr., Colleyville, Texas/Grapevine
Wilkinson earns his first award of the season and the second of his career after record three event wins against UIC. Individually, he won the 100 Back with a time of 1:02.26 and the 200 Breast touching the wall at 2:17.67 and was a part of the first place 400 Free Relay team with a time of 3:26.42. Wilkinson was also a part of the third place 200 IM relay team for the Leathernecks.

WOMEN
Brianna Eizenga, Western Illinois
Fr., Clinton, Iowa/Morrison
Eizenga captures her first career Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honor after recording three top-two finishes, including an event win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:26.31. She finished second in the 1,000 Free (11:44.76) and was a part of the second place 500 Free relay team (5:37.96) for Western Illinois.
