Oakland's Watterworth Receives Player of the Week Award
ELMHURST, Ill. - Oakland's Bethany Watterworth was named Summit
League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance
during the week of Dec. 14-20.

Watterworth collects her second Player of the Week award in the
last three weeks after leading Oakland to a 2-0 record last week.
The sophomore scored 19 points with 11 rebounds in a win over
Dartmouth. She followed that up with 21 points and nine boards in a
road victory over Clemson. The win over the Tigers was the
first-ever over an ACC opponent for the Golden Grizzlies. For the
week, Watterworth averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4.5 assists and
2.0 blocks per game. She shot 59 percent (17-for-29) from the field
and was 43 percent (3-for-7) from behind the arc. The sophomore has
reached double digits in scoring in 11-of-12 contests on the year,
with eight of those being over 20 points.
