Pascucci collects her second Player of the Week award of the
year after leading Southern Utah to a 66-53 win over Weber State
last week. The senior scored 26 points in the game, including
becoming just the eighth SUU player to surpass the 1,000-point
plateau in her career. She recorded her third straight
double-double and fifth of the season, grabbing 12 rebounds, while
blocking a season-high three shots and collecting one steal.
Connecting on a career-best 14 free throws (14-of-15), Pascucci
shot 60 percent (6-of-10) from the field as the Thunderbirds are
currently riding a five-game winning streak heading into league
action Wednesday. The senior has scored at least 20 points in three
of the last four contests.
Also nominated: Jordan Zuppe, IPFW; Bethany Watterworth,
Oakland; Jackie Rieger, Western Illinois.
