Oakland's Watterworth Named Women's Basketball Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. - Oakland's Bethany Watterworth was named Summit
League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance
during the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 6.

Watterworth claims her third career weekly honor after leading
Oakland to a pair of league wins last week. The sophomore shot 83
percent (19-of-23) from the field, including a perfect 9-for-9
against UMKC. She averaged 22 points, five rebounds and five
assists and reached double figures in points before halftime in
both games. A native of Lake Orion, Mich., Watterworth shot 83
percent (5-of-6) from behind the arc and registered three blocks
and two steals on the week. She recorded career-highs of three
blocks and three treys vs. UMKC and has scored double-digits in
four straight games.
