ELMHURST, Ill. - Western Illinois' Ceola Clark and IUPUI's
Robert Glenn were named Summit League Co-Players of the Week for
their performances during the week of Feb. 8-14. Clark's award was
his first this season while Glenn collected his fifth accolade, the
highest season total since Oral Roberts' Caleb Green in
2004-05.
Clark averaged 23 points per game and shot 59 percent while
leading Western Illinois to road wins at Oral Roberts and
Centenary, marking the Fighting Leathernecks' first consecutive
league road victories since the 1997-98 season. Against ORU, Clark
scored 25 points, while connecting on 10-of-15 field goals,
including 2-of-3 three-point attempts. The sophomore guard added
three rebounds, three assists and three steals as WIU notched its
first victory at the Mabee Center since 2001. Two nights later,
Clark scored 21 points with five boards, hit a key three-point
basket late and went 8-of-11 at the free throw line in a victory at
Centenary.
Glenn averaged 25.5 points per contest in a win over Centenary
and a one-point loss in the closing seconds at Oral Roberts.
Against Centenary, Glenn scored 23 points on 9-of-10 shooting,
including his first career three-pointer, with four assists and
three rebounds. At ORU, the senior forward was the game's leading
scorer with 28 points, including converting 2-of-3 attempts from
beyond the arc, and pulled down seven rebounds.
