SDSU's Rossetto, UMKC's Bouet Named Tennis Players of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. - South Dakota State's Dominic Rossetto and
UMKC's Laura Bouet were named Summit League men's and women's
tennis players of the week for their performances March 9-15.
Dominic Rossetto, South Dakota State
So., Launceston, Tasmania, Australia/St. Patrick's
Rossetto posted identical 3-1 singles and doubles records during
the week while competing in Orlando. His singles wins came against
Sacred Heart's Chris Ujkic (4-6, 7-6, 14-12), Boston University's
Alex Hallenbeck (3-6, 6-2, 6-3) and SIU Edwardsville's Mike
Chamberlain (6-2, 6-1). In doubles play, Rossetto teamed with Jamie
Dash for three victories at the No. 1 position. The SDSU duo
notched wins against teams from Fairfield (9-7), Boston University
(8-5), and SIUE (8-6). For the season, Rossetto owns a 7-4 singles
record and 9-2 doubles mark.

Bouet earned her second award in three weeks after an
undefeated week with two singles victories and a pair of doubles
wins. In singles play, Bouet notched a pair of straight set
triumphs against Ferris State's Tiff Rheynard (6-2, 6-4) and
Southeast Missouri State's Alyce Kelly (6-1, 6-0). In doubles
action, Bouet teamed with Suzan Lisenby for an 8-0 win over FSU's
Diorio/Coleman and a 8-4 victory against SEMO's Kelly/Nattier.
Bouet set a school record with her 11th victory of the
season and is now 11-3 in singles matches, including a 7-3 dual
record.
