Oral Roberts Sweeps Summit League Tennis Player of the Week Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. - Oral Roberts swept The Summit League men's
and women's tennis player of the week awards with Dmitry Suslov and
Ana Costa honored for their performances March 16-22.

Suslov received his first career award after picking up his first
victories of the season with a pair of wins against Lamar,
accounting for both ORU's points in the match. Playing No. 3
singles, Suslov defeated Dusan Savkovic, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0. At No. 2
doubles, Suslov teamed with Dario Beslic for a 9-8 victory of the
Cardinal duo of Horvath/Savkovic.

Costa earned her first award of the season and third career
honor after posting a 4-0 singles record and 2-1 doubles mark
during the week, including a combined 5-0 record during league
play. All four of Costa's singles wins came in straight sets,
beginning with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Long Island's Taysha
Blessington. In Summit League Cluster play in Las Vegas, Costa
helped Oral Roberts to a 4-0 record. At No. 4 singles, Costa
defeated UMKC's Suzan Lisenby (6-2, 6-3), Southern Utah's Carmen
Blanco (6-2, 6-4) and South Dakota State's Carrie Jansen (6-1,
6-2). Costa teamed with Kristin Gray at No. 2 doubles for wins over
UMKC's duo of Bouet/Lisenby (8-3) and Centenary's team of
Orschel/Henderson (8-0).
