Hayes wins her first Player of the Week award of the season after going 5-for-7 (.714) with four home runs and five RBI in league play against Southern Utah last week. The catcher from Terre Haute, Ind., posted a .714 on-base percentage and 2.429 slugging percentage against the Thunderbirds. For the week, Hayes recorded a .375 batting average with six RBI.

Cronin captures her second Pitcher of the Week award this season after allowing just seven hits in 14.1 innings of work, with 24 strikeouts, a 0.49 ERA and a 2-0 record in league action. Cronin tossed her school-record eighth shutout of the season, with 12 strikeouts in a 5-0 victory over South Dakota State and became IPFW's single-season strikeout leader with 128. For the week, Cronin posted a 3-0 record in 20.1 innings of work with 33 strikeouts.


Kamren Ferguson, Western Illinois

Ferguson earns her third Pitcher of the Week award of the season after tossing 14 innings of work, allowing just four hits, posting a 0.50 ERA and a 2-0 record in league play. In the first game of doubleheader against Centenary, Ferguson threw the ninth one-hitter of her career, and followed up with a three-hitter in the series finale. For the week, the Clinton, Ill., native threw 21 innings, allowing just nine hits, with a 1.00 ERA and a 3-0 record.
