Golitko collects her first Player of the Week award this season
after hitting .727 (8-for-11), with four RBI, a .727 on-base
percentage and .818 slugging percentage against previous
league-leader IPFW. The LaGrange, Ill., native recorded a
career-high four hits, including a walk-off RBI to defeat the
Mastodons 3-2 and help WIU reclaim first-place in the league
standings.

Ferguson claims her league-leading fourth Pitcher of the Week
accolade after tossing 19.1 innings, allowing just nine hits, with
a 0.36 ERA, 24 strikeouts and a 3-0 record against IPFW. In the
series finale, Ferguson pitched 10.0 innings allowing six hits,
while striking out 13. The Clinton, Ill., native became Western
Illinois' all-time leader in complete games (99) and surpassed the
700 career strikeout plateau in the 6-0 victory over IPFW. Over the
weekend, Ferguson also became the all-time leader in career innings
pitched (814.1) in Summit League and Western Illinois history.
