ORU's Whitt, NDSU's Carlson Win Weekly Track & Field Awards
MEN
Jack Whitt, Oral Roberts

Whitt collects his second Athlete of Week award of the
outdoor season after winning the pole vault (5.35m) and breaking a
meet record at the Sooner Invitational in Norman, Okla. The
freshman ranks sixth nationally in the event and hold the league
top-mark (5.41m) set at the Texas Relays in March.

Carlson captures her second Athlete of the Week award of
the outdoor season after recording a first-place finish and a
school record (6.44m) in the long jump at the Drake Invitational in
Des Moines, Iowa. The Buchanan, N.D., native also recorded a league
top-time in the 400m hurdles (1:00.02). Carlson is tied for fourth
nationally in the long jump.
