Blake earns Player of the Week honors after leading South Dakota
State to a series win over Oral Roberts, handing the Golden Eagles
their first Summit League series loss in history. The junior batted
.500 with five runs, five doubles and five RBI in the four games.
He also drew there walks, recorded an .857 slugging percentage and
a .588 on-base percentage. Of his seven hits, five were doubles,
breaking the Jackrabbit single-season doubles record with
26.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Vermeulen collects his fourth Pitcher of the Week award this season
and second in a row after collecting two relief wins over ORU last
week. The junior did not surrender a run in six innings of work and
recorded six strikeouts against one walk. Vermeulen struck out the
side in the ninth inning of Friday's game before a walk-off victory
in the bottom of the inning. He has not allowed a run - earned or
unearned - in Summit League play this season.
