Kristina Karpun, IPFW

Karpun captures her third Player of the Week award this season after going 7-for-15 (.467), with four home runs, 10 RBI and 19 total bases last week. The junior recorded a 1.267 slugging percentage and .619 on-base percentage. Karpun became IPFW's career home run leader in game one against Eastern Michigan and finished the doubleheader by driving in the game-winning run after a three-run homer in the second inning. Karpun smashed the previous school RBI record (29) this week with 38 on the season.


Kelsey Lunn, South Dakota State
Sr., Fort Dodge, Iowa/Iowa Central CC
Lunn wins her first Player of the Week honor this season after hitting .538 (7-for-13) with three triples, a grand slam and eight RBI in league action last week against Centenary. The Fort Dodge, Iowa, native hit her first career grand slam in game one of the twinbill, along with two hits in the second game against the Ladies. In the series finale, Lunn recorded a pair of doubles and a single to complete the league series sweep of Centenary.

Johnson wins her second Pitcher of the Week accolade of her career after tossing 20 innings, allowing just 10 hits, with 1.40 ERA and 35 strikeouts in two league victories on the week. After pitching a one-hitter earlier in the week against South Dakota, the freshman recorded her eighth shutout of the season against UMKC, allowing just one hit in the contest. On the week, Johnson recorded 12, 11 and 12 strikeouts in her three starts, giving her 11 double-figure strikeout games on the season.
