NDSU's Stratton, SUU's Bassett, Booth Earn Women's Soccer Weekly Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. -- Southern Utah's Riley Bassett and Charly
Booth, along with North Dakota State's Abbey Stratton were named
The Summit League's Offensive and Co-Defensive Women's Soccer
Players of the Week for their performances Aug. 23-29.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Riley Bassett, Southern Utah
Jr., M (Las Vegas, Nev./Centennial)
Bassett claims the Offensive Player of the Week
award after recording a school-record four goals in an 8-0 win over
Embry-Riddle last week. Her eight points in the match were also a
school record and her game-winning goal came in the second minute
of the match. The junior tallied her fifth goal of the week, also a
game-winner, in a 2-0 win over William Penn Saturday.

North Dakota State; Jordan Spaciel, Western Illinois.
CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Charly Booth, Southern Utah

Abbey Stratton, North Dakota State
Jr., D (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park)
Booth and Stratton share Defensive Player of the
Week honors after both led their teams to shutouts. Booth totaled
10 saves on the week in wins over Embry-Riddle and William Penn.
Nine of her saves came against Embry-Riddle and she currently owns
a 235:05 minute consecutive scoreless streak. Stratton helped limit
Green Bay to just six shots and only two on goal in the 1-0 win.
The junior took two shots in the match from her center back
position.
