OU's Lynch, IPFW's Nayler Named Women's Soccer Players of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. - Oakland's Sarah Lynch and IPFW's Erin Nayler
were named The Summit League's Offensive and Defensive Women's
Soccer Players of the Week for their performances Sept.
13-19.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sarah Lynch, Oakland
Jr., M (Mississauga, Ontario/St. Martin
Secondary)
Lynch earns her first Offensive Player of the Week
award this season and second of her career after recording a total
of six points in two Golden Grizzly victories last week. She
tallied a goal and assist in both matches, a 6-1 win over
Youngstown State and a 3-2 victory over Massachusetts. The junior
is currently second in the league in points (11) and tied for
second place in goals (4) and assists (3) on the year.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Erin Nayler, IPFW
Fr., GK (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake Girls)
Nayler captures her first career Defensive Player of
the Week honor after leading the Mastodons to a 1-0 win over Ohio
last week. The freshman earned her first career shutout and
recorded a total of five saves in the match. She lowered her goals
against average to 1.81 on the year and ranks third in the league
with 42 saves.
