SDSU's Healy, NDSU's Stratton Collect Weekly Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. - South Dakota State's Danni Healy and North
Dakota State's Abbey Stratton were named The Summit League's
Offensive and Defensive Women's Soccer Players of the Week for
their performances Aug. 30-Sept. 6.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Danni Healy, South Dakota State
Sr., F (Edina, Minn./Edina)
Healy earns the Offensive Player of the Week award after leading
the Jackrabbits to a pair of victories over Nevada and Montana last
week. The senior recorded the game-winner in the 3-0 shutout win
over Montana and also assisted on Kaitlin Justice's tally in the
second period. Healy gave SDSU a 2-0 lead over Nevada in its 3-2
double overtime victory. For the week, she recorded five points
from two goals, one being a game-winner, and an assist.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Abbey Stratton, North Dakota State
Jr., D (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park)
Stratton collects her second straight Defensive Player of the Week
after helping the Bison to a shutout draw over unbeaten Big 12 foe
Iowa State. The junior recorded one shot and limited the Cyclone's
top scorer to just two shots and the team to nine. The match was
NDSU's second consecutive shutout and keeps the squad's unbeaten
record on the season intact.
