IPFW's Botts Named Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. - IPFW's Ben Botts was named Summit League Player
of the Week for his performance during the week of Dec.
27-Jan.2.

Botts earned his first career award after averaging 25 points
per game and shooting 75 percent from the field and 73.3 percent
from three-point range while leading IPFW to a pair of victories
for its second-ever Summit League road sweep. Against Oral Roberts,
Botts scored 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting, including knocking down
all three attempts from beyond the arc, and added five rebounds,
two assists and one steal in 28 minutes. Two nights later at
Centenary, Botts scored a career-high 30 points in 30 minutes,
connecting on 8-of-12 threes and 10-of-15 field goal attempts. His
eight treys were also a career-high and tied the IPFW Division I
record. For the week, Botts scored 50 points in 58 minutes of
action as IPFW improved to 4-0 in league play for the first time as
a member of The Summit League.
