ELMHURST, Ill. - Oral Roberts' Maria Grados and
North Dakota State's Kalani Bertsch were named The
Summit League's Offensive and Defensive Women's Soccer Players of
the Week for their performances Oct. 10-16.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Grados collects her first career Offensive Player of the Week award
after leading Oral Roberts to a pair of Summit League wins last
week. In the 1-0 shutout over IUPUI, the senior scored the lone
goal unassisted in the 67th minute. She followed that up
by converting a penalty kick just 31 seconds into the second
overtime period to secure a 2-1 victory over Western Illinois. For
the week, Grados had two goals, both game-winners, and four
points.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kalani Bertsch, North Dakota State

Bertsch earns her second career Defensive Player of the Week award
and first this season after recording two league shutouts to give
the Bison sole possession of first place in the league standings.
In the 3-0 win over IPFW, the senior made three saves and against
Oakland she stopped a season-high eight shots in a 1-0 win. Bertsch
lowered her goals against average to 0.84 on the year and is tied
for first in school history and tied for fourth in Summit League
history with eight shutouts on the year.
