ELMHURST, Ill. - Oakland's Serena San Cartier and South Dakota State's Kat Donovan were named The Summit League's Offensive and Defensive Women's Soccer Players of the Week for their performances Oct. 17-23.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Serena San Cartier, Oakland
So., F (Suidbury, Ontario/Lo-Ellen Park Secondary)

San Cartier collects her first career Offensive Player of the Week honor after recording eight total points in two crucial matches last week for Oakland. The wins over Oral Roberts and Southern Utah kept the Golden Grizzlies in the race for the final two tournament spots. The sophomore scored a goal and recorded two assists in the 6-0 shutout over ORU. She followed that performance up with a two-goal effort in a 5-1 win over SUU. San Cartier had three goals and two assists on the week and now leads the Golden Grizzlies with five assists and 15 points on the year.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kat Donovan, South Dakota State

Donovan records her second Defensive Player of the Week honor this season after collecting two shutouts for South Dakota State last week. The victories solidified the Jackrabbits a spot in the league tournament. The senior had a perfect goals against average and save percentage on the week and recorded a total of seven saves in the two matches. Donovan set a new Summit League record with her 11th shutout this season in the win at UMKC. The Jacks have held opponents scoreless for the last 769 minutes and have not surrendered a goal to a league opponent this season.
