Named first team All-Mid-Continent Conference in 1986 ... Scored 1,569 career points and is the Eastern Illinois University career leader in rebounds (872) and blocked shots (123) ... Led the Panthers to the Mid-Continent championship in 1985 ... Selected in the second round by the San Antonio Spurs in the 1986 NBA Draft ... Played 11 seasons in the NBA with the Portland Trailblazers, San Antonio Spurs, Washington Bullets, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers ... Two-time NBA All-Star ... Averaged 11.8 points per game during his pro career ... Received the NBA Most Improved Player Award in 1988 ... Died in Aug. 2008 ... The Portland Trailblazers and the Oregon Community Foundation have established a college scholarship in Duckworth's name.
