Oakland's Brittany Carnago was named The Summit
League's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance
Dec. 6-12.

Carnago collects her second career Player of the Week honor after
leading Oakland to a pair of wins last week over Clemson and UIC.
The senior center nearly tallied a triple-double in the win over
the Flames with 14 points, 11 blocks and nine rebounds. The 11
blocks are tied for the second-most in league history for a single
game and is the most since she registered the same number on Jan.
12, 2009. The St. Clair, Mich., native also added seven rebounds
and six blocks in the win over Clemson. It was the Golden
Grizzlies' second-straight win over the Tigers in consecutive
seasons and third-straight over an ACC opponent. For the week,
Carnago averaged 9.0 points, 8.5 blocks, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists
and 28.5 minutes per game. She shot 46 percent (6-of-13) from the
field and 75 percent (6-of-8) from the free throw line and added
one steal.
