USD's Hegge Named Player of the Week Women's Basketball Media Center | Summit Points Blog | 30th Anniversary Season

ELMHURST, Ill. - South Dakota's Amber Hegge was named The Summit League's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance Dec. 13-19.

Hegge earns her second Player of the Week award this season after recording her third double-double of the season in a 63-54 win at Utah Valley last week. The senior scored 19 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 from behind the arc. She grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out seven assists against only one turnover, while recording four blocks and four steals in 31 minutes. Hegge has now scored in double figures in 18 straight games and the 19 points and 11 boards was her 17th career double-double performance.
