ELMHURST, Ill. - Oral Roberts' Mikhail Trukshanin and Oakland's Amanda Pettey were named men's and women's tennis players of the week as announced by The Summit League for their performances April 5-11.

Trukshanin earns his second award of the season and third of his career after notching a pair of straight-set league victories. Playing the No. 1 singles position, Trukshanin defeated IPFW's Roberto Cabrini (6-2, 6-2) and Centenary's Micha Threadgill (6-0, 6-4). In doubles play, Trukshanin team with Igor Sobolta to defeated the Gents' tandem of Threadgill/Threadgill 8-7 (7-2). For the season, Trukshanin improved his singles record to 4-5 overall, 3-1 in The Summit League.

Pettey earns her first career award after a singles win and a pair of doubles victories during the week. Against Valparaiso, Pettey posted a win at No. 6 singles over Stephanie York (7-5, 6-1). In doubles play, she teamed with Grace Keating at the No. 3 position and claimed an 8-7 (7-5) triumph over Milwaukee's duo of Kurer and Donovan to account for OU's lone match win. Pettey and Keating also notched an 8-0 win over Valpo's tandem of Zdanovec/O'Reilly. For the season, Pettey owns a 6-3 record at No. 6 singles, including a 3-1 league record and team-best .750 winning percentage.
