ORU's Schiller and Gonzalez, SDSU's Treinen Earns Final Weekly Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. - Oral Roberts' Cam Schiller was named as The
Summit League's Baseball Player of the Week and Oral Roberts' Alex
Gonzalez and South Dakota State's Blake Treinen were selected as
Co-Pitchers of the Week for their performances May 16-22.

Cam Schiller, Oral Roberts
Jr., SS (Prescott, Ariz./Yavapai CC)
Schiller collects his second Player of the Week award this
season after leading Oral Roberts to the regular season title last
week. The junior began the week with a 3-for-4 performance with
four RBI, a double and home run against No. 7 TCU. He had the
game-tying hit in the eighth inning of a 6-5 win over SUU, while
knocking in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th of
a 1-0 win over the Thunderbirds in game two of the series. Schiller
recorded three hits in the final two games and is riding a 10-game
hitting streak. For the week, Schiller batted .579 (11-for-19) with
10 RBI, five runs, four doubles, one homer, one sacrifice fly, one
walk and no errors. He also registered a .947 slugging percentage
and .571 on-base percentage.

Gonzalez collects his fourth Pitcher of the Week
award this season yielding three hits over nine innings in a
no-decision against Southern Utah. The Golden Eagles eventually won
the game in the bottom of the 10th by a 1-0 score. The
freshman struck out 10, walked just two batters and did not
surrender an extra-base hit. Gonzalez has pitched at least seven
innings in seven of his 15 starts on the season.
Blake Treinen, South Dakota State
Sr., RHP (Osage City, Kan./Baker Univ.)
Treinen earns his second Pitcher of the Week honor
of the season after throwing a seven-inning, complete-game shutout,
the first in his career, in a 10-0 win over IPFW. The senior
allowed only five hits, all singles, with just one walk while
fanning nine batters. Treinen has 161 strikeouts in his two-year
Jackrabbit career and improves to 13-4 all-time at SDSU.
