ELMHURST, Ill. - Western Illinois' Trisha Quinn and Oakland's Payj O'Shea were named The Summit League's Offensive and Defensive Women's Soccer Players of the Week for their performances Aug. 29-Sept. 5.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Trisha Quinn, Western Illinois
Fr., M (Belleville, Ill./Althoff Catholic)

Quinn collects her first career Offensive Player of the Week award after leading the Fighting Leathernecks to a pair of victories last week. In the 2-1 win at SIU Edwardsville, the freshman recorded an assist and goal two minutes apart. She assisted on teammate Amber Davis' goal in the 41st minute and followed that up with a score in the 43rd minute off a corner kick. Quinn registered her second assist on the week on the lone goal of match in the 1-0 shutout win at Drake. For the week, she collected four points on two assists and a goal.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Payj O'Shea, Oakland
So., GK (Wixom, Mich./Walled Lake Northern)

O'Shea earns her first career Defensive Player of the Week honor after collecting a 1-0 shutout over Eastern Michigan and surrendering just one goal at Michigan State. In the win over EMU, the freshman saved a penalty kick, helping the Golden Grizzlies to their first win of the season. For the week, O'Shea recorded a 0.50 goals against average with 12 saves and a .923 save percentage.
