USD's Westbrook Named Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. - South Dakota's Charlie Westbrook was named Summit League Player of the Week for his performance Jan. 16-22.

Westbrook becomes the first USD player to earn The Summit League's weekly men's basketball award after turning in a career-high performance. In the Coyotes' first Summit League home victory, Westbrook tied his career-high with 32 points on a career-best 12-of-18 shooting from the field to lead his team past IUPUI. In the win, he also added six assists, six rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots. Two nights later, Westbrook turned in an 18-point, eight-rebound, two-steal effort against Western Illinois, The Summit League's top defensive team. For the week, Westbrook averaged 25 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting 56.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
